"Now this punch drunk grinning soul, in its corner begs no more." Lyrics made more haunting by Flogging Molly's new music video for their single, 'Punch Drunk Grinning Soul'. Originally penned as an allegorical biography about a young man who unexpectedly committed suicide, the video takes the theme one step further and applies it to a malady faced by millions of people the world over - post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD. The video begins with a public service announcement for PTSD narrated by singer Dave King and Mike Regan, a distinguished Vietnam war veteran and the father of the band's fiddle player Bridget Regan. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, approximately 7.7 million American adults suffer from PTSD, a psychiatric disorder that can occur following exposure to life-threatening events such as military combat, serious accidents, or violent personal assaults like rape. People who suffer from PTSD often relive the experience through nightmares and flashbacks and detach or estrange themselves from friends and family. Nathen Maxwell (bassist of Flogging Molly) put up a signed Ernie Ball Stingray Bass for auction at Locals Barbershop in Denver, CO. Tickets will be sold IN-PERSON ONLY at the HUB-Robeson Center Alumni Hall Concert venue (230 Hub-Robeson Center Alumni Hall, University Park, PA 16802) on February 10th, 11th, 12th from 10:00am-2:00pm. Unsold tickets will continue to be sold after the 12th from 10:00am-2:00pm at a TBD location. On March 3rd (day of show), tickets will be available from 10:00am until show time outside the venue.

On September 12, 2009, Flogging Molly played at the legendary Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, the city where it all started. We decided to capture the entire performance on film, and we're now pleased to announce that our Live at the Greek Theatre high-definition DVD and 2 CD set will be in stores on March 2nd, 2010. The DVD features the concert from the Greek Theatre in its entirety, along with our entire music video collection, as well as a candid pre-show interview with Nate and Matt. You can check out the trailer HERE. You can also pre-order the CD/DVD set HERE for just $13 and receive a free t-shirt.
Matt Hensley will be a guest on Tony Hawk's Sirius satellite radio show, TODAY (Tuesday, January 26th) at 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific. Tune into Faction on Sirius 28 or XM 52 to listen in!
